Cleveland Browns Sign RB Jordan Wilkins After Preseason Loss

After a preseason loss to the Washington Commanders, the Cleveland Browns signed running back Jordan Wilkins.

Browns' move to sign Jordan Wilkins follows their loss; Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston broke the news.

Cleveland also put linebacker Jacob Phillips on injured reserve and waived safety Bubba Bolden.

With Jerome Ford's hamstring injury, the Browns brought in Jordan Wilkins after a workout earlier in the week.

Despite the team's 117 rushing yards, only 41 came from running backs against the Commanders.

Notable rushers included Demetric Felton with 31 yards, John Kelly Jr. with six, and rookie Hassan Hall with four.

Nick Chubb didn't play much in the preseason, preserving his workload for the regular season.

The Browns faced challenges at the 1-yard line in their initial drive, being stopped twice with Felton and Kelly.

Jordan Wilkins offers experience with 54 games and four starts, mainly with the Indianapolis Colts.

As a versatile player, Wilkins has showcased rushing and receiving abilities in his career as a fifth-round pick from Missouri.
