The San Francisco 49ers are seeking revenge after their Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Before their first preseason game, the 49ers made significant roster changes, including releasing tight end Logan Thomas.

Logan Thomas was released after suffering a hamstring injury during training camp, as reported by Cam Inman.

Thomas previously played for the Washington Commanders, where he recorded 184 receptions, 1,685 yards, and 14 touchdowns over four seasons.

Despite being in the NFL for eight seasons, the majority of Thomas' success came during his time with the Commanders.

His most productive season was in 2020 with Washington, where he achieved a career-high of 670 yards and six touchdowns.

The 49ers also placed defensive lineman Austin Bryant on injured reserve due to foot and ankle injuries.

To bolster their roster, the 49ers signed defensive lineman Jonathan Garvin and punter Pressley Harvin III to one-year contracts.
