Steelers Release All-Pro Returner

The Pittsburgh Steelers are releasing veteran receiver and return specialist Gunner Olszewski, who joined the team in March 2022.
Olszewski, a former All-Pro returner with the Patriots, had a reduced role in Pittsburgh, with just three combined returns this season.
The move may pave the way for Diontae Johnson's return, as he's expected to be activated from IR ahead of Week 7.
Olszewski, in his fifth year, had two fumbles despite minimal touches in his two games for the Steelers.
The Steelers will save nearly $1 million with this move, and Olszewski, as a vested veteran, won't go through waivers.
