NFL News: Washington Commanders Unveil Unexpected Starting QB.

The Washington Commanders have designated their starting quarterback for the 2023 NFL season.

Recently, Dan Snyder concluded the sale of the Washington Commanders for a staggering $6.05 billion to an investor consortium headed by Josh Harris, amid NFL-imposed penalties.

Despite challenges, Ron Rivera continues to lead the team's overhaul, placing trust in accomplished offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, known for his work with Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City.

The Washington Commanders currently lag behind NFC East rivals  but the addition of a new starting quarterback could alter this dynamic.

The identity of the Washington Commanders' starting quarterback has become a topic of intrigue.

The Washington Commanders officially revealed that Sam Howell, a second-year quarterback, will take the helm in the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals on September 10.

Sam Howell, chosen in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, was initially drafted with the belief that Carson Wentz would be the future franchise quarterback, though this vision has since shifted.

Sam Howell triumphed over Brissett in training camp, while Fromm holds the third spot.

The Washington Commanders are putting their faith in Sam Howell as the quarterback to lead them in the upcoming season.

With a fresh face at the helm in the form of Sam Howell, the Washington Commanders are aiming to rejuvenate their standing in the NFC East.
