The New York Jets lost a backup linebacker to injury during the Hall of Fame Game in Canton.

Hamsah Nasirildeen was injured while making a tackle on the second play from scrimmage.

Nasirildeen, a 2021 sixth-round draft pick from Florida State, couldn't return to the game.

He suffered a neck injury and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the game.

The injury occurred when Cleveland Browns quarterback Kellen Mond completed a short pass.

Tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden was on the receiving end of the pass during the 2nd-and-5 play.

Despite being able to walk off on his own, Nasirildeen was unable to continue playing.

Bryce Huff's third-down sack hindered the Browns' opening drive.

Nasirildeen's injury leaves a gap in the linebacker position after Kwon Alexander's departure.

Alexander, who played 17 games for the Jets in 2022, now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
