Himani Chopra, wife of Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra, is a former Indian tennis player who competed in both singles and doubles at the international level.
She achieved her career-best singles ranking of 42 in 2018, the same year she made her professional debut.
In doubles, Himani reached her highest ranking of 27 during her playing career.
After stepping away from tennis, she decided to build her career in sports business instead of pursuing professional sports further.
Himani declined a lucrative job offer worth Rs 1.5 crore in the USA, choosing to work on her own business ventures.
She holds a Political Science degree from Delhi University and has also studied Sports and Fitness Management at Franklin Pierce University.
Neeraj and Himani tied the knot in January in a private ceremony held at a resort in Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
Due to Neeraj’s busy training and competition schedule, their family is yet to host a formal wedding reception.
At present, Himani is actively managing Neeraj Chopra’s diet and training sessions as he prepares for competitions.
Born in 1999, Himani was introduced to tennis in her school days, trained under the guidance of her PTI mother, and also represented Delhi University at national level along with competing in the 2017 World University Games.
